Creative Thursday

Gosh, it has been a long time since I have had time to pick up a paintbrush (since hair coloring brushes don't count). It's like getting reacquainted with an old friend. Since I will have a little more free time I want to try to be intentional about taking the time to be creative and dive back into some of things I used to love doing as well as explore new things. Although it hasn't happened quite as often as I have intended, I will savor the time when something artistic comes about and give myself grace when it doesn't.

This is the second painting I have completed so far; it was at the request of someone who was fiercely missing the salty air and the sea. So with a palette of blue-greens, yellows, and grays and with this natural light pouring in, I turned on some music (loud, of course), diffused some pachouli and channeled Heidi in hopes this finished painting would help ease the pain of being so far away from the ocean.
